“Each project is as individual as the client. I get to know my clients and listen carefully to create an environment that is custom tailored to reflect that client’s lifestyle, taste and needs.”

Arrowood Design is a full-service, client-focused design firm specializing in residential projects. The firm’s work appeals to the homeowner who appreciates high quality furnishings, custom design solutions and exceptional customer service. Founded by Lisa Arrowood in 2000, the firm designs a wide range of projects throughout Northern California.

With her skilled use of color and harmonious mix of modern and antique, Lisa creates classic spaces that feel inspired but natural, inviting and timeless. Her fine art background informs her use of form, light, texture and scale while her down-to-earth practical side ensures function and comfort are incorporated into every project.

Lisa formalized her artistic sensibilities while living in New York. She studied fine art at the Art Students League and Parsons School of Design. Her love of art and design lead her to work as a jewelry designer, decorative painter and photo stylist.

Relocating to San Francisco, Lisa continued her studies in the Interior Design and Interior Architecture Program at UC Berkeley. Lisa has also traveled extensively, exposing herself to art, architecture and global design.

Lisa began her interior design career with the prestigious SF based design firm Tucker and Marks. During her time with the firm Lisa developed a sensibility for the subtleties and nuances of high-end design and fine antiques, while also learning the business side of a professionally managed design firm.

Lisa’s clients value her creativity, attention to detail, experience and ability to manage projects of all sizes. She designs beautiful, highly-personalized living spaces that are comfortable, functional and enjoyable.

“I love the design process: the attention to detail, the partnership with my clients and the collaboration with architects, contractors and artisans. Most of all, I love turning ordinary spaces into beautiful places that you want to return home to again and again.”
